Sloka 148:

Know-er of Vedas follow Swadharma that lead to purification of mind, when the mind is purified one can realize Brahman/Self.

Sloka 145:

Life is like a Vruksha (Tree), to start from seed (ignorance) to producing fruits (Result of Karma) and an individual Jeeva being the bird who eats the Karma Result.

Sloka 146:

Ignorance can be removed only by Self inquiries. Ignorance is the cause for sorrows which is an endless being Avidya.

Man's bondage keep increasing due to the power of Thomo and Rajas gunas which force them to be the victim of birth and death life cycle.

Many at times, an individual's Self knowledge is being swallowed by the Shark of delusion (Thamas) supported by Rajas guna. Even one get a chance to listen to a noble person's advise on Self and reality he/she may not have made use of his advise due to Rajas/Thmas effects. Only through Viveka one can escape from this bondage.

Sloka 142:

Sun's rays creates cloud whereas the same cloud hinder to light of Sun, like wise the Ego arisen our of Self but due to the Rajas/Thamas power it covers the reality.

Nice Story with good philosopy

Today, i received an email narrating this good morale story. I thought sharing this story will generate brother/sister hood among us. Kindly note i am not the author of this story therefore i the full credit goes to the real author. Thanks for reading. Email dated 05-1-2015.

In an ancient temple, a number of pigeons lived happily on roof top. When the renovation of the temple began for the annual temple feast the pigeons relocated themselves to a Church nearby. The existing pigeons in the Church accommodated the new comers very well.

Christmas was nearing and the Church was given a face lift. All the pigeons had to move out and look for another place.

 

They were fortunate to find a place in a Mosque nearby. The pigeons in the Mosque welcomed them happily. It was Ramadan time and the Mosque was repainted. All the pigeons now came to the same ancient temple.

One day the pigeons on top found some communal clashes below in a market square. The baby pigeon asked the mother pigeon "Who are these people ".

The mother replied; they are "Human beings". The baby asked, "but why are they fighting with each other". The mother said "These human beings going to temple are called 'Hindus' and the people going to Church are called 'Christians' and the people going to Mosque are called 'Muslims'.

The Baby pigeon asked, "why is it so? Look, when we were in the Temple we were called Pigeons, when we were in the church we were called Pigeons and when we were in the Mosque, we were called Pigeons. Similarly they should be called just 'Human beings' wherever they go".

The mother Pigeon said, 'You and me and our Pigeon friends have experienced God and that's why we are living here in a highly elevated place peacefully. These people are yet to experience God. Hence they are living below us and fighting and killing each other".

Sloka 139: The Self (Athma) is being covered by the Avarana Sakthi of Thamo Guna just like Rahu hindering during the time of Solar eclipse. Even though the Athma is ever shining and without a second.

Sloka 140: Thamas and Rajas together bind a person and crucify to create mis-understanding that the not-Self is the Self and ruin the life.
