VIVEKACHUDAMANI TAMIL DISCOURSE : CHAPTER 1 - SLOKA 192 to 194 - MAY 22-2015

Om Namasivaya Nama:

Moksho-paya: (What is Liberation and how to achieve)

After hearing so much about Self and Non Self, the seeker (Sishya) post a humble question to his Master. Next 2 slokas are about his question for clarification.

Sloka: 192

Sishya Uvacha (The Disciple asked!)

How can you say the beginning less can have an end since the Supreme Self has come to consider as the Jeeva (Life) since both have no beginning nor end in other words the Jeeva-hood of the Self must not have an end too. Therefore where is the question of liberation for Self? Please clarify.

Sloka 193:

Therefore, there is no end for the Supreme-self that reflect as Jeeva-hood (Jeeva Bhavathwam) at the same time no end for the transmigration of the Jeeva too. If this is true, then where is the question of liberation for whom?

Realization of Self: (Self Knowledge gives Liberation:)

Guru Uvacha (Guru Said)

Sloka 194:

O learned one, listen to me carefully and i will remove the confusion within you. Delusion cannot be accepted as facts, therefore once delusion disappears the reality will be understood. Supreme Self never had the Jeeva-hood, because everything Supreme Self itself. Due to the delusory misconception, imaginations were created by individual and got in to the net of confusion.

VIVEKACHUDAMANI TAMIL DISCOURSE : CHAPTER 1 - SLOKA 190 to 191 - MAY 15-2015

Om Namasivaya Nama:

Athma Sangatha (Un-attached) continued.

Sloka 190:

The Atman (Self) exists in everything, however due to association with limited intellect it identify itself differently like the mud and mud pot.

Sloka 191:

Even though the Supreme Self is by itself naturally perfect and ever unchanging due to its relationship with the super-impositions, It assumes the characteristics of these super-impositions and act.

VIVEKACHUDAMANI TAMIL DISCOURSE : CHAPTER 1 - SLOKA 188 to 189 - MAY 08-2015

Om Namasivaya Nama:

Sloka 188:

Identifying with the attributes of the order of life, duties and functions that actually belongs to the body but it considers them as its own,  Even though Vignaanamaya Kosa is extremely radiant due to its nearness to Supreme (Paramathma) Self, when it identifies with it suffers transmigration through delusion and no escape from the birth cycle. Therefore it looses the status to be a Self/Athma.

Self Unattached (Athma Asangaadh)

Sloka 189:

The Self is nothing but knowledge absolute, shines within in the Pranaas in heart as Koodathan (Immutable)  and it become the doer and experiencer! because of its superimposition on Vignaanamaya Kosa (intellectual sheath).

VIVEKACHUDAMANI TAMIL DISCOURSE : CHAPTER 1 - SLOKA 185 to 187 - MAY 01-2015

Om Namasivaya Nama:

Vignaanamaya Kosa (Intellect Sheath):

Sloka 185:

The Intellectual Sheath is a modification of Prakruthi (Nature - that is constantly roaming and changing) due to its reflection of light of Chith. It is endowed with function of knowledge and sense organs also identified with body therefore it can't be a Soul!

Sloka 186:

Ego/Jeeva "I" is beginning-less. Both doer and experiencer are the two main substitute/characteristics of Jeeva. Therefore through these acts, the I-ness is spreading across all activities of human in relative plane. Such Jeeva does everything as per its vasanas (past deeds) and experience the results.

Sloka 187:

All ups and downs, birth and death are due to these vasanas enjoyed through this intellectual sheath.
